There are a few things you need to own if you are a girl with an ostomy.  I really don’t understand why many people think fashion ends because you have an ostomy.   The reality is that you don’t have to have specialty clothing or pieces made for you to look great in 2020.  Goodness especially this year the year of PJ’s!  Seriously, has anyone really even changed clothes at all this year? I know I am on my pj kick 7 days a week except for zoom meetings.  So the last thing you need to think about is ostomy supplies fitting in with your wardrobe. Lets go over a few things that I see are necessary for when this whole COVID-19 mess is over with. 

Get yourself some High waisted leggings.  If you don’t already have these, how are you living.  Yes they used to be yoga pants, but times have changed and comfort wins. Ok, Yoga won and found out the most comfortable pants of all time. Well, maybe even LuLuLemon started it all for yoga, buy i consider a great pair of leggings an essential ostomy supply.

Get a Longer style  t-shirt.  The extra length lends itself to having a little bit of bagginess which comes naturally to the shirt.  I prefer to pair a little bit longer t shirt with high waisted legging and then I am completely free to not worry about how It looks. The self-consciousness simply drifts away because I know that I am not going to get noticed as having a pouch.  Yes, It shouldn’t matter, but if I am going out and just want to look good and not worry about it, that's my go to outfit.

Go ahead and grab your jumper or romper.  Yes, sinch the waist up and no one will ever notice. It is still one of the biggest hits this spring and it's so airy. I love going out on a nicer night in a romper.  Grabbing Brunch or grabbing some me time at Target, a proper romper is the answer.  The tight waist brings about a slightly baggy chest and pant, which obviously is a dream to wear with an ostomy.  It eliminates the printing that can happen with really tight clothes and its simply classic and classy. 

What ever you do, don’t give up on fashion. There are so many choices available and so many great brands those you won’t miss out on.  Keep on being beautiful and style on.
